Calvert Mentors

Students in class

Calvert Mentors is a community mentoring program committed to recruiting, screening, and training caring adults from the community to engage in one-to-one mentoring with school aged youth of Calvert County.

All children can benefit from having a mentor, particularly those who experience adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and common risk factors such as being inappropriately shy or assertive, working below academic ability, high rate of absenteeism, poor social/coping skills, exposure to crisis events (home or community), family member who is incarcerated, lack of resources at home, lack of positive community recreation, chaotic home environment, lacks strong positive role models, and friends who engage in problem behaviors.

Contact us today if you are interested in becoming a mentor with our program.
