Tobacco Cessation Program Calvert County Health Department

Supportive Services

We offer group or individual classes.  Group classes are one hour a week for eight weeks.  Individual classes vary.  Both types of classes discuss medications to assist with quitting, tools to help with cravings, and what your triggers are and how to avoid them.  Group classes offer the opportunity to talk to other people on the journey with you.  We offer medications at no cost that have been proven to increase success rates with quitting.  Chantix, Bupropion XL, and all nicotine replacement therapies.

We have a program specifically for pregnant smokers.  It is very important to quit smoking during pregnancy for your unborn baby, but also for you the mother.
