The Closing the Gap Coalition

The Closing the Gap Coalition (CTGC) is a community group composed of volunteer citizens with diverse  backgrounds and experiences.  We work to eliminate the achievement gap in education of affected students in the Calvert County Public School System.  Some of our involvlements include:

-   Providing information regarding the low cost Internet Essentials Program

-   Acting as a conduit of information for families and other organizations 

-   Working  with the Strong Schools Maryland initiative

-   Partnering with other organizations such as Lawyers in the Library

-   Provision of Board of Education (BOE) candidate forums

Our meetings are held on the first Saturday of every other month (August, October, December, February, April and June)

We meet with the CCPS Superintendent and Executive staff in the Months of October, February and June

Location:  (usually) Prince Frederick Library

Time:  10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Meetings are open to all
